What is Line Dancing?

Linedance is great for fitness and socializing. The dances are choreographed with a repeating series of steps that are performed in unison. Dancers all face the same direction, although there may be multiple lines. Linedancing is unique as it incorporates almost every different style of dance, including ChaCha, Waltz, West Coast Swing, East Coast swing, and various others.  Although Linedance is typically choreographed to Country music, every genre of music is used including some hip hop.
Linedance requires no partner, it is, therefore, suitable for everyone.  Dancers as young as 6 can follow easy steps and we have dancers over 70 who can enjoy this dance style.

Zoë Coen

I started Linedancing in 2008 after a couple of years doing Modern, Hip Hop, and Tap.  Got to love yourself some checked shirts, a Cowboy hat, and dancing boots (even though Linedance has come a long way from that). My knowledge comes from many hours of training with international instructors from the UK. Typically I receive intense training 4 times per year.
I am still an avid competitor and currently compete in the Advanced Young Adult division.
I have completed my Licentiate level Linedance instructor with SADTA and have assessed CWDSA progression tests. I have completed the Trinity London Grade 6 in Musical Theatre. I have participated in 3 WDM World Championships and 1 WDM European Championship.  In 2018 I won World Title in the Pro-Am Novice division.
I am currently studying for my PGCE after completing my BA in English and Psychology in 2020.
I am also a Netball coach and enjoy most things sport-related as well as anything music or drama-related.
