At Five6seven8 Dance Studio, we believe in the power of community, collaboration, and sharing the joy of dance. That’s why we’re excited to extend a heartfelt invitation to all Gauteng-based dance instructors for a FREE Teacher Training Workshop focused on West Coast Swing and a touch of Lindy Hop.

Why This Workshop?
Swing dancing is still a growing style here in South Africa—and that’s something we want to change. We’ve seen how West Coast Swing and Lindy Hop have flourished in other countries through education, shared knowledge, and community spirit. Now, it’s time to spark that same energy here in Gauteng.
This workshop is not about certificates, selling programs, or hidden agendas. It’s about generously sharing what we know in order to build a stronger, more vibrant Swing community in South Africa.
Who Should Attend?
- Current dance instructors curious about expanding their repertoire.
- Dancers who want to start teaching and want a glimpse into these swing styles.
- Studio owners looking to diversify their class offerings.
- Anyone passionate about growing dance culture in SA.
What to Expect:
- Foundations of West Coast Swing: structure, rhythm, connection, teaching insights.
- Intro to Lindy Hop: where it comes from, basic movement vocabulary.
- Open Q&A and sharing session.
- Ideas on how you can bring Swing dancing into your own studio or classes.
Whether you’ve danced these styles before or you’re completely new to them, this workshop will offer you tools, inspiration, and a network of like-minded professionals.

If this first training is a success and 10 or more instructors in another area are interested, Alissa is happy to travel anywhere in Gauteng to offer similar sessions. Our goal? To have more people dancing Swing, learning, teaching, and hosting more regular international talent right here on our dance floors.
