Join us on 20 August at 13h30 for our Performance Workshop for both Kids & Adults
Have you found while preparing for a show or competition you are so focused on your dance technique that you are missing out on the performance aspect of your dance routine? This workshop is aimed for this specific reason. As dancers, we are meant to be storytellers and take our viewers on a short journey while they watch us dance.
This workshop is broken into 2 segments with our lecturers. One session will work on Facial Expressions, Presence, Gesture, Dramatisation, Dynamics, Energy & Movement, and the Second Session will be covering Overcoming Performance Anxiety.

Lauren Crossman

I’ve been an Educational Psychologist in practice for 2 years. I work both in a school environment and in private practice. I graduated from UP in 2019 and completed my internship in 2020.
My interests lie in working with children and teens in overcoming anxiety and depression using approaches such as mindfulness, and this is why I am so interested in teaching the dancers in this studio more about how anxiety works in the body, and also how to manage it to still do your best on the stage.
