Question 1: When did you start dancing?
Answer: I started dancing at the age of 2 at nursery school and fell in love with ballet and it has been a passion ever since. I have completed my dance exams into the advanced levels and still continue with my own ballet class to this day.
At the age of 7, I started modern dancing and have done all my exams from stepping stones to my advanced exams.
At age 17 started with contemporary dance; I did contemporary dancing for 2 years.
Question 2: When did you start teaching?
Answer: I starting teaching in 2016 part-time. I started shadowing the teacher that taught my first ballet class in nursery school. I worked with her from 2016 to the end of 2018.
In 2019 I started teaching full time and have loved it ever since.
Question 3: What classes do you teach?
Answer: I teach Ballet & Creative Movement
Question 4: When & Why did you start at Five6seven8?
Answer: I started teaching at Five6seven8 in 2019.
At the start of 2019, I received the biggest blessing when Five6seven8 contacted me and
offered me the greatest opportunity to teach at their studio. It has been the greatest blessing and has helped build me into what I am today and what I hope to become one day.
Question 5: Why do you love to teach dance?
Answer: I love passing on the passion I have for dance to the dancers I teach.
I love teaching the dancers new skills and help their growth and seeing how each dancer
comes into their own and become the best version of themselves.
I love being able to share my passion for dance, exercise, and anatomy and kinesiology of
the body- creating an aware and well-rounded dancer.
I love seeing how dance can help every aspect of your life and how the principles that are taught to you in dance are carried with you throughout your life.
Question 5: Why do you love to dance?
Answer: Dancing allows me to express myself in many ways. If for example I’m having a bad day and I walk into my dance class – I can channel my energy and focus on an exercise I am doing and I end up pushing myself harder as a result of being more focused.
Dance teaches you so many life lessons and coping mechanism throughout your life. It allows one to be the best version of yourself and you always only challenge yourself and the best version of yourself that you have given.
As a dancer, you have an awareness about your own anatomy and how it plays a role in every part of your life, how it flows through everything – from day to day posture, to awareness of your body- allowing yourself to be the best version of yourself possible.
Question 6: Tell us something about yourself
Answer: Very shy person until I get to know someone and you get to know me. I love dark chocolate from Geldhof and absolutely love steak.
